Student Films NYU & Columbia University

In the spring of 2015, Joosje had roles in five thesis films by students from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts and Columbia University's Graduate Film Program. Footage of the short films can be seen in Joosje's video reel.

In the psychological drama The Nest, directed Ben Eisen (NYU), Joosje plays lead character Maggie, a young woman who struggles to break free from her deeply insular family after connecting with a mysterious stranger.

Planes by Joanna Fernandez (NYU) tells the story of unhappy man Peter, who connects with a young girl, Kid (Joosje), shortly after losing his wife. Kid cheers him up until Peter's brother visits, who recognizes her as a runaway psychiatric patient.

The crime thriller Have You seen Jake Verona?, directed by Brit Bucklee (NYU), is about young detective Harley who searched for her colleague Jake after he goes missing. The only person who's able to help her out is Abigail (Joosje), but Abigail isn't willing to give Harley the information she needs.

In A Good Man, directed by Kai Gero Lenke (Columbia University), a lonely man sees a girl sleeping on a bench at a train station. When he sees someone approaching the girl too closely, he decides to take action.
